Does any one have plans for a horizontal stone guard that they are willing to share. I have a Avan Cruiseliner and NT Pajero. I will be fitting a DO35 coupling from Vehicle Components so that we can open the back door of the Pajero without fouling the coupling.

I would like to extend the a frame of the cruiseliner by bolting on a 15mm plate to the a frame by 150mm are there any any legal problems with this?

Myles, I made a horizontal guard for my C/t & it was effective over roads such as Ood, Mereenie, Tanami & GRR. While I have no plans as such (or photos) it
is simple to explain. Frame of 40mm pvc pipe, screwed, not glued. Cover of
shadecloth, doubled & sewn over frame with 40 Kg Nyon fishing line. Not sure if you could adapt to suit your Avan. Mine consists of a piece of pipe across the
A frame at the van end to the full width of trailer, 2 90 deg bends brought forward on each side, then at 45 deg to the hitch point, allowing sufficient
room to put the vehicle on full lock. Fastened by only 2 bolts through A frame
at rear & allowed to rest on top of hitch point. Holes in cloth to suit Jockey
wheel, spare wheel & whatever. It does inconvenience the access to the rear of vehicle a bit, but then again ,a broken widow is a bigger problem. Cheap as
chips, it works, & is easily removable for non dirt trips. Let me know if I can be
of any further help if you try this out.....oldbaz.
